In 2014 Trevor Flowers and Sparks Webb created the first (as far as we know) functioning full sized Memex as described by Dr. Vannevar Bush in the 1945 article "As We May Think". It comes from an alternate timeline where the Time illustrations provided the extra boost Dr. Bush needed to commission a prototype.
A basic demo of creating trails (Dr. Bush's term for hypertexts) is available on YouTube.
We are open for commissions of other intellectual infrastructure from this or any other timeline. Perhaps you would like to own Memex #002?
